Note the excellent performance of Jean-Olivier DalphondVikram MarwahDavid St-Germain and Suresh Vaidyanathan, first runner-up in the Strategy case competition. And on a lighter note, Alex Ha who won the mechanical bull ride competition! Congratulations again to the entire team!

Specialization Track Survey (Full Time only)

Following the students’ request, the AEMBA has created a survey to compile the students’ preferences related to the specialization track courses and share them with the MBA office. The objective of this survey is to document the demand for each class in French and in English, so the MBA office can try to offer more classes during the day in the preferred language if the demand is sufficient (more than 12 students).

Therefore, we recommend you to answer this survey very seriously and to encourage your colleagues to answer it too.

All courses mentioned in the program’s web site are listed, even those that are not currently offered.

The survey will be open until January 3rd, 11:59PM. Please click here to access it!

ToastMasters – Next Meeting

Hello Fellow Toastmasters,

I would like to congratulate all of those who took upon themselves to come to the launch of the Toastmasters HEC Montreal MBA & MSc. We were 40 people at least. I received a lot of positive feedback and this encouraged me. The images on the letter are linked to the 2 main speakers.

TM is well spread in Montreal’s companies, here is a list of those who have a TM group inside their walls: CN, ICAO, Future First, Morgan Stanley, Dassault, SAP Labs, Canadair, Ericcson, RBC, KPMG, SNC Lavalin, UQAM, Concordia, McGill, etc. As a member, you can send a request for speaking in their groups and you will be known and notice for your communication skills and, doing so, you’ll change your cold market (people you don’t know) into a warm market (people you know and have a common ground to speak about: TM). Along the way, you’ll also meet someone who knows someone who needs someone exactly like YOU.

Your Student associations agreed to pay a part of the Membership fees for those who are in the MBA, in the MSc or at the Doctorate. We strongly want to challenge you, despite the costs, to come a few times and try it out. It’s a WIN WIN situation. We are at the core of something that could bring strength together that has enormous potential for US all.

Managerial Economics – Review Class (En)

As discussed yesterday, I will have a session tomorrow to go over some of the old exams. Jorge has arranged a classroom for us:

Salle Serge Saucier at 13h.

I will start right at 13h, so please be on time.

I will answer any questions you have about the exams with solutions (2007, 2009, 2010). And I will go through the 2006 exam. I will not talk at all about any of the earlier exams. The reason for this is that there is no time for the French group to meet for a session. They will be going over these same exams at the end of their class today.
